Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored a goal in Georgia’s 2-0 win over North Macedonia and explained where he must improve for Napoli.

The 21-year-old has had a sensational start to the season for club and country. Scorer of four goals in seven Serie A games with Napoli this term, ‘Kvara’ helped his national team secure a 2-0 win over North Macedonia yesterday, scoring one goal and being instrumental to the own-goal that opened the account in the second half.

The Georgia international also spoke about his first few months at Napoli with Geo Team after the match.

“The welcome was amazing, I was curious about the stadium and the fans. The Maradona is extraordinary and people make it even better,” he said, as quoted by Il Corriere dello Sport’s printed edition.

“They sing for 90 minutes and never stop. If you talk to any fan in the street, you realise they know everything about Napoli. Mario Rui explained to me how to behave on and off the pitch.

“I’ve been training a lot. I get up early, go to the training centre one hour and a half before the beginning of the session and have breakfast,” he continued.

“Many teammates help me when I talk in Italian, I am studying and improving.

“Spalletti tells me that I am a good dribbler, I am strong in one vs. one, but I must play more for the team helping in defence and I always do what my coaches want.”
