Watford started life under Claudio Ranieri with a heavy 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, but the Italian received a great welcome back to the Premier League by Jurgen Klopp ahead of the match.
Claudio Ranieri replaced Xisco Munoz at Vicarage Road and started his fourth stint in the English top flight with a home game against Liverpool.
The match ended in thumping 5-0 defeat, as Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah scored one each, while Roberto Firmino bagged three in Hertfordshire.
But there was great respect on display between Klopp and Ranieri ahead of the game.
