Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie has left Turin and will undergo his medical with Leeds United on Monday. ‘Thanks for the support, I’ll see you guys soon.’
The USMNT star is set to complete the transfer to Leeds on a reported six-month loan for €1.5m, plus option to buy for another €30m plus €5m in bonuses and a percentage of the sell-on fee.
Sky Sport Italia also report that option can become an obligation if certain conditions are met.
McKennie had originally been expected to fly out early this morning, but rearranged it to leave this afternoon.
He was spotted by reporters and tried to say goodbye in Italian with ‘In bocca al lupo’ – good luck – confessing straight away that he doesn’t “speak Italian that well.
