Roma have shared footage from Ivan Juric’s first training session in charge of the club following a quickfire managerial turnaround on Wednesday that saw the former Torino coach replace Daniele De Rossi, who was given his marching orders earlier the same morning.

De Rossi was dismissed just four games into the 2024-25 season. The Giallorossi legend had won just once in his last 11 competitive matches in charge, and left with the team winless in 16th place in Serie A.

Juric, meanwhile, has put pen to paper on a short-term contract until the end of the 2024-25 season, but he will have an option to extend should the Giallorossi qualify for next year’s Champions League.

With a busy week of fixture ahead, including against the league leaders Udinese on Sunday and their first Europa League game of the season against Athletic Club next Thursday, the new coach got straight to work on Wednesday evening.

He arrived at Trigoria on Wednesday afternoon and proceeded to take his first training session just a couple of hours later.
