Gianluigi Donnarumma returned to the PSG goal, but it would’ve done the Italy international’s confidence no good in a 3-0 defeat to AS Monaco.

This was his first game back in the goal after the howler that prompted their Champions League elimination to Real Madrid.

Keylor Navas was ruled out by illness, along with Lionel Messi, so Donnarumma stepped in for this heavy Ligue 1 defeat.

Donnarumma was a specialist at saving penalties for Milan and Italy, but should’ve done better today when he got both hands to the Wissam Ben Yedder spot-kick and still couldn’t keep it out.

The Azzurri will hope he can recover some self-esteem ahead of the World Cup play-offs, as Italy face North Macedonia on March 24.

  1. That penalty saving attempt … lol

Now watch Milan and Maignan at the top of the table, dude. It’s something extraordinary, unlike anything PSG do. Wait, I guess that Madrid botch job was indeed extraordinary!

  2. Honestly, this is not the time.

Unlike the UNL can we PLEASE go back to supporting the kid for the next 10 days at least?

  3. Also:

    – Wasn’t that egregious of an error.
The Monaco PK was shot with force. Many PK’s go in after ricochet off the GK.

    – Didn’t Magic Mike make a mistake or two a few weeks ago.

    – Top of the Table Milan? They may very well win the league, sure. But not guaranteed. Inter and Napoli not going away. Conversely PSG will win Ligue 1 without dispute.

  4. All the things you said just proves my points further, actually.

So he’s like many other GKs. One of many.

Mike has made just one mistake all season that anyone can remember, really says it all.

Milan finishing in the top four is an achievement already considering the squad and wage bill. PSG winning the league is nothing important. They’re already under fire for so many losses despite easily winning that farmer league lol

  5. As a Serie A fan, you (and I for that matter) should chill out with calling other leagues “farmers” leagues.

When comparing other GK’s? Some of his attributes are better, PK’s for example. He is much better than your guy. Some are worse. Like when he plays the ball with his feet. Everybody know that.

I have not proven your point further. If anything, you and the butthurt Milanisti, prove my point by hating on him when he’s moved on. If you have Magic Mike Minkia then why are you acting like a jaded Stage 3 Clinger. Move on. He certainly has. Milan fanbase trying to tell anybody that will listen that they have the superior GK but still can’t help but be first in line to comment when he makes in a mistake. But as stated, In this case, he did not and that PK had some power behind it.

  6. Look, I’m not gonna trade insults. I see your points as another team’s fan, it’s alright. But for us, most of us at least, that’s just the way it is. You call me butthurt, but I’m not, me and most of the fan base are not butthurt, we’re betrayed. We can’t forget or forgive, whether it’s an average player or, in Dollarumma’s case, a very good one, or if we have a better replacement, still we don’t forget. The thing is Milan nurtured him since he was a kid and he left like that, I’m not gonna get into all that again here. And believe me, to our surprise, Mike IS really better. This season is the proof, but as I said that’s not the point.

I’m not gonna try and explain more, you either understand or not. Just know that’s how it’s gonna be, nothing anyone can do about it, neither us nor you.

Now of course I’m gonna support Italy whenever we play and he’s part of that, I accept that. I cheered for him in Euro final, I’ll cheer for him in a few days, naturally. They just have to make sure he doesn’t play in the city of Milan ever again. Can’t support him in our backyard. Nope, no can do. Sorry.

AND I’m not gonna let the opportunity to laugh at his expense slip away whenever he fails in his new club. It’s karma after all, and it’s funny. It’s all in good nature though. He made a big boys decision. He knew the consequences and surely he can take it. If anything other fans need to stop acting like his fanboys all the time and get butthurt over a joke or two. Stop being dramatic.

Awww. What are you going to do? Put up another banner?

  8. Yes. What did you expect me to do? Murder him? If it’s not important then don’t cry about it.
