After reports Inter are looking to sell Marcelo Brozovic and he is dropping down the pecking order, he is told off in training by Simone Inzaghi’s coaching staff. ‘We’re not in elementary school here.’

The Croatia international was a key figure in the side that won the Serie A title under Antonio Conte and initially last term for Inzaghi.

However, injury problems for Brozo allowed Hakan Calhanoglu to flourish in the new role and now the Turkey international is the favourite to start with Henrikh Mkhitaryan against FC Porto in the Champions League tomorrow.

An incident was spotted in training today when one of Inzaghi’s staff, specifically Fabio Ripert, told Brozovic off for not being professional enough.

“Brozo. Brozo, try to be serious, please. We’re not in elementary school here.”

Earlier in the session, Brozovic had been joking around with his best friend in the squad, Nicolò Barella, but it seems they might’ve taken it a bit too far on the eve of a Champions League Round of 16 tie.
