Lorenzo Insigne made a special video call from Toronto for a little old lady who had been crying since he left Napoli. ‘We’re still settling in, we’ve been here for three days.’
The Italy international and former Partenopei captain was alerted to how upset Nonna Luisina was feeling at his departure for MLS.
So he took some time out to call the family and urge her not to cry for him anymore.
“Unfortunately, this is life and this is my occupation,” he said of leaving his home town.
After showing the view from his room in a skyscraper overlooking Toronto, Insigne described how the move is going.
“We’ve been here for three days now, we’re still trying to get used to it, everything is still up in the air.”
