Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paolo Maldini were briefly reunited at San Siro on Sunday evening as the former Milan pair briefly bumped into each other at the Coldplay concert staged at the iconic stadium over the weekend.

The last time that Ibrahimovic had been seen inside the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza was during his emotional farewell on Milan’s final home game of the 2022-23 Serie A season, having previously announced that he would be calling it a day on his remarkable 22-year career in the senior game.

Since then, Maldini has also left the club in shock circumstances, being relieved of his duties as technical director after an explosive meeting with Gerry Cardinale at the beginning of June.

However, there was certainly no love lost between Ibrahimovic and Maldini on a personal level, as both were briefly filmed in conversation, having given each other a warm hug a few moments before.
