Achraf Hakimi and Son Heung-min joined Romelu Lukaku in dedicating their goals to Christian Eriksen during games with their national teams last night.
Hakimi, who spent the 2020-21 season with Eriksen at Inter, scored the winner for his side Morocco against Burkina Faso and ran to a pitchside camera holding up his fingers to signal 24 and 10, Eriksen’s numbers at Inter and Denmark respectively.
Son, a former Eriksen teammate at Tottenham, did the same during a World Cup qualifier against Lebanon, signalling 23, Eriksen’s shirt number in North London.
Eriksen star collapsed during the first half of Denmark vs. Finland yesterday. He required urgent CPR on the pitch before being taken to hospital to undergo further medical checks.

Romelu Lukaku also dedicated Belgium’s victory and his goals to Eriksen last night, saying it was “difficult to play” as he had cried a lot waiting for good news from Denmark.
Happy for the victory and for being able to dedicate the goal to my friend! Stay Strong . @ChrisEriksen8 pic.twitter.com/2HSp7yP0B3
