Former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi hit the ‘ice cold’ Cole Palmer celebration after opening the scoring for Lazio in their Serie A clash away against Torino on Sunday morning, following an assist from his former Gunners teammate Nuno Tavares.
A Nuno Tavares cut-back from the left flank landed at the feet of Guendouzi, who was able to find the back of the net with a powerful effort just inside the penalty area to hand Lazio a 1-0 win against a high-flying Toro side.
Nuno Tavares, who joined Lazio from Arsenal on loan with a probable obligation to buy in the summer, now has four assists in four Serie A matches since the start of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Portuguese is the first player to register four assists from his first four Serie A matches since Opta Records began in 2004-05.
