Manchester City’s Phil Foden invited Alessandro Del Piero to join him in a kickabout after the final whistle of the Champions League semi-final between Pep Guardiola’s side and Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.
The former Juventus captain had been working as a pundit for Sky Sport Italia on Tuesday night and was filmed admiring Foden’s technique and ball control in a clip that soon became popular on social media.
Foden had dribbled past Del Piero with the ball on a number of occasions before realising exactly who he was.
At that point, he promptly asked if Del Piero would join in with him on the pitch of the Bernabeu, however, there was still punditry work left to do and Del Piero remained as professional as ever.
