A group of Fiorentina fans insulted Dusan Vlahovic at the Stadio Penzo after La Viola’s 1-0 loss against Venezia.

It was Vlahovic’s first game since Rocco Commisso’s announcement that the striker would not renew his contract with the Tuscans.

Fiorentina suffered a 1-0 defeat against Serie A strugglers Venezia and it’s safe to say their travelling fans were not happy with the result, let alone with Vlahovic’s performance.

Some of them insulted the striker when all Fiorentina players went to salute their supporters.

Cristiano Biraghi and Lorenzo Venuti defended their teammate and Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano said the Tuscans must do more to help Vlahovic score.

The Fiorentina tactician was satisfied with Vlahovic’s performance and said criticism from fans and the management of rumours about his future will help him grow as a man and as a footballer.

  1. First, I hope the reactions are still under control.
    Then, it’s easy to know why did the fans’ react like that. It also happened in another stadion in Italy when someone play for his national team in front of his former fans, and it was also easy to know why. Fans must be have emotional connection to their club and sometimes the situation is hurt them emotionally.
