Former Real Madrid and PSG striker Jese Rodriguez is undergoing his medical with Sampdoria ahead of a free transfer to the Stadio Ferraris.
The 29-year-old is available as a free agent after terminating his contract with Turkish side Ankaragücü in January.
He has now arrived in Italy and is currently undergoing his medical with Serie A strugglers Sampdoria.
The Spanish striker will sign a contract until the end of the season with an option to extend for a further campaign, sources in Italy claim.
Jese is a two-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, scoring 18 goals in 94 appearances with the La Liga giants.
He also played for PSG, scoring two goals in 18 matches.
