Former Inter player Christian Eriksen made his return to international football just 287 days after suffering cardiac arrest and took just two minutes to score for Denmark.
The midfielder came off the bench in Amsterdam to a standing ovation from the crowd, happy to see him back on the field representing his country so soon after his heart stopped for several minutes while playing against Finland in UEFA EURO 2020.
It proved to be a spectacular comeback, because Eriksen scored just two minutes later, on an assist from Bologna midfielder Andreas Skov Olsen.
Eriksen had to leave Inter because the Italian rules bar anyone from playing or even training if they have an implanted defibrillator.
He is now playing club football for Premier League side Brentford.
What a moment ❤️
