Inter published a video of Christian Eriksen’s return to the training centre for the first time since his cardiac arrest, greeted with gentle hugs by teammates and new coach Simone Inzaghi.

The Denmark international had the heart attack during the UEFA EURO 2020 group game against Finland in June and was implanted with a device that will restart his heart if it occurs again.

Because of that implant, Eriksen will not be allowed to play in Serie A unless it is removed, and even then he won’t be given the all-clear for at least six months.

He met up with his teammates for the first time and was greeted with gentle, protective embraces.
