Empoli have released a video clip via their social media channels showcasing goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario’s best saves from his time at the club while thanking him for his services shortly after completing a move to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
Over the course of the last two seasons since joining Empoli in 2021, Vicario has gone on to receive widespread praise for his performances, being dubbed as one of Italy’s most underrated goalkeepers.
Arguably the most impressive of Vicario’s stops came earlier in the 2022-23 season against Roma, pulling off a remarkable triple save to keep out Paulo Dybala, Gianluca Mancini and Tammy Abraham in stunning fashion.
Vicario has since been unveiled as a new Tottenham player in a move that will earn his former employers a club-record fee of €20m.
