Roma have announced a new contract for Stephan El Shaarawy with a cute video conversation.
The Little Pharaoh was technically already a free agent, as his previous deal expired at midnight.
So the official Roma social media team sent him a message just making sure he was coming back to the Stadio Olimpico for next season.
He replied with a video confirming the new contract.
“Did you think I wasn’t going to return? See you soon, daje Roma.”
Now 30, the Italy international has a long history with the Giallorossi, first joining them on loan from Milan in January 2016, making the move permanent at the end of that season.
He was sold to Shanghai Shenhua in the summer of 2019 and returned as a free agent in January 2021.
