The Azzurri completed their brief tour of the USA with another win, having already beaten Venezuela 2-1 on Thursday.
A Federico Dimarco free kick was charged down and Pellegrini hit a screamer on the half-volley, before Barella celebrated his first match as captain of Italy with a delightful lob.
It was the debut for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and Torino wing-back Raoul Bellanova, as coach Luciano Spalletti again tested out the 3-4-2-1 formation.
