New Fenerbahce striker Edin Dzeko has said an emotional farewell to Inter after ‘we dreamed, covered kilometres and won four cups.’
The centre-forward saw his contract run down and today put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Fenerbahce, leaving Serie A after eight years between Roma and Inter.
He posted a video on Instagram along with a message saying goodbye to the Nerazzurri supporters, using the nickname for the club that means ‘crazy Inter.’
“Ciao pazza Inter, these were two wonderful years. Wonderful on the field, with the coach and teammates. And beautiful in the stands: San Siro always packed with an incredible support everywhere, for a team capable of reaching the final in every competition.
“I scored. I dreamed. We dreamed, covered kilometres and won four cups.
“It was a marvellous journey. Now we go our different ways, but thank you for everything. And best of luck for the future! Forza Inter. Edin.”
The Bosnia and Herzegovina signed off with his symbol, representing his nickname The Swan of Sarajevo, and emojis showing the two Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana editions he won at Inter.
