Footage has emerged online of US Open champion Novak Djokovic holding a Milan shirt while posing for pictures with his trophy on the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

The all-time leader in men’s Grand Slam titles, who has previously expressed his fondness of the Rossoneri, held up the Milan shirt to display the no. 24, recognising his most recent Grand Slam title, along with the name ‘Nole’ on the back.

Djokovic had been spotted at San Siro for the first leg of the Champions Keague semi-final between Milan and rivals Inter in May.

The tennis star had also said in an interview in 2014: “My father was a professional footballer and at home we always watch the Rossoneri’s games with great interest.”

That said, Djokovic has also expressed fondness of a number of top teams across Europe, including both Real Madrid and Manchester United. It is unknown which team, if any, he officially supports.
