It is going to take something remarkable to beat this Federico Dimarco effort for Serie A Goal of the Season, as the Inter man managed a lob even further out than the legendary Alvaro Recoba.

The Italy international was just past the centre-circle and had no real options to pass, so when he spotted Frosinone goalkeeper Stefano Turati off his line, decided to simply lob it right under the crossbar.

Inter fans were quick to compare this to the classic Recoba effort against Empoli in January 1998, but Dimarco was even further away from the goal.

DAZN clocked it at 56 metres, or 61 yards.
