Shakhtar Donetsk coach Roberto De Zerbi was sent off after telling Rukh Lviv manager Leonid Kuchuk he ‘is in the wrong profession.’
The former Sassuolo and Benevento boss was an irritable figure on the touchline in Ukraine today, despite his team having just taken the lead through Marcos Antonio.
There was a row on the sidelines, with Kuchuk and De Zerbi booked, but the Italian continued, and was caught on camera saying (in Italian) “you are in the wrong profession.”
The referee was called over by the fourth official and showed a second yellow, which prompted another furious outburst from De Zerbi.
Shakhtar Donetsk eventually won 2-0 and will face Inter in the Champions League next week.
