Daniele De Rossi and Roma players could not hide their joy after beating Lazio on Saturday and videos circulating on social media show how the Giallorossi celebrated their first win over their city rivals in two years.
De Rossi admitted feeling ‘incredible’ pressure as a Roma coach in his first-ever derby della Capitale in the Giallorossi dug-out, but the former midfielder could finally release tension after the final whistle when he jumped on a Roma staff member to celebrate the victory.
Obviously, De Rossi also went down Roma’s iconic Curva Sud to wave at the fans, joining his players, who also took a team picture in front of their supporters.
DAZN has shared a clip of Roma’s celebrations at the Olimpico, which you can watch below.
There was controversy as well as match-winner Gianluca Mancini waved a flag that had the shape of a gian rat in the Lazio colours.
The defender later apologised saying that he hadn’t noticed the draw and that he didn’t want to offend anyone.
