Cremonese were furious after Napoli scored a Coppa Italia equaliser in chaotic circumstances, as they felt goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi had been fouled.

A corner came to Tanguy Ndombele on the edge of the box for a ferocious strike that Carnesecchi somehow parried with one arm, pushing it straight up into the air.

As he tried to punch it away, Giovanni Simeone collided with him in nodding the ball onto the crossbar, and at the third time of asking it was Juan Jesus who bundled over the line.

Carnesecchi was already down on the ground by this stage, but referee Maria Sole Ferrieri Caputi and the VAR both agreed there was no foul on the goalkeeper.

Was Ferrieri Caputi right to rebuff their protests or are goalkeepers too protected nowadays?

  1. That is a foul on Carnesecchi by any book. The napoli player basically pushed the keeper back to the ground.

  2. Message to the moderators: your rubbish. Censor this, like I used a β€œmean” word and you got offended, yet I only spoke truth.
