Alessio Cragno has completed his medical with Monza and is ready to sign his contract with the newly-promoted Serie A side.

Cragno is the second summer signing for Monza, who announced former Inter captain Andrea Ranocchia last week.

The former Cagliari goalkeeper underwent his medical with Monza in the morning and briefly spoke to journalists before signing his contract with the Biancorossi.

Galliani confirms Cragno’s Monza medical and makes Donnarumma admission

“I am happy to be here, Galliani has made the history of Italian football,” he said.

“Now, only the signature is missing. Cagliari? I’ll talk about it afterwards.”

The Sardinians were relegated to Serie B last season, but Cragno, an Italy international, was one of the standout performers last season, so his permanence in Serie A has never been in doubt.

Monza dream of signing Matteo Pessina, Joao Pedro and Andrea Pinamonti, but Adriano Galliani confirmed that they are all ‘difficult targets’ to sign because of their price.
