Napoli celebrated Antonio Conte’s birthday with a karaoke night in pre-season training, with the coach himself singing, although Pasquale Mazzocchi stole the show.

It has become an important part of the ritual for new players and tacticians to sing in front of their teammates, creating a sense of togetherness and breaking down barriers.

While many do this by just standing on a chair, Napoli decided to take it a step further and get full karaoke machines and microphones during the celebration for Conte’s birthday at the weekend.

The boss himself stood up and sang a Neapolitan song, ‘Tu si a fine do’ munno’ by Angelo Famao.

Elvis Abbruscato chose 1960s classic ‘Il ragazzo della via Gluck’ and director Lele Oriali went for ‘Una vita da mediano’ – not exactly a stretch, seeing as Ligabue wrote the song about him.

The show was stolen by a surprisingly tuneful Mazzocchi version of ‘Il letto degli amanti’ by Neapolitan legend Nino D’Angelo.
