Serie B side Calcio Como signed Alex Blanco from Valencia and their presentation video made the most of some linguistic misunderstanding around the Spanish winger.

The 23-year-old was a surprise signing in the January transfer window for an undisclosed fee, penning a contract to June 2024.

He grew up in the Barcelona youth academy, moving on to Valencia, Alaves and Real Zaragoza.

The video clip released by Calcio Como makes fun of the fact Como – the name of the city in Northern Italy – also means ‘What’ in Spanish.

After several misunderstandings, he declares: Como isn’t a question, it’s the answer.

  1. It’s good to see even the smaller italian teams getting better at marketing, always helps to have a sense of humour.
