Federico Chiesa was left out of the Italy squad so he could get to grips with life at Liverpool and is already showing his teammates what he can do in training.

The versatile winger made the move from Juventus at a bargain basement fee of €12m plus €3m in performance-related bonuses.

He is expected to get his debut for the Reds after the break for international duty, which is why he was given time off by Luciano Spalletti, missing Nations League matches against France and Israel.

Liverpool released a clip on their social media accounts showing Chiesa with a trademark curler into the far top corner.

His versatility has sometimes been more of a problem than a benefit, able to play in a variety of different roles, scoring with his left or right foot.

Hopefully, Chiesa can rediscover his best form at Anfield and bring that kind of talent back to the Italy squad for the Nations League and 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
