Giorgio Chiellini received a special award marking his Italy career ahead of his farewell appearance, the Finalissima against Argentina.
The encounter between the reigning European Champions and the Copa America holders kicked off at Wembley Stadium at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
Azzurri captain Chiellini started in his 117th and final game for the Nazionale, so was presented with a special award by FIGC President Gabriele Gravina just before kick-off.
He then stood in line and sang the anthem at full pelt with eyes closed for the final time.
