Sampdoria winger Antonio Candreva’s astonishing, swerving long-distance rocket has been named the Serie A Goal of the Month for October.
The strike came out of nowhere at Marassi when the Blucerchiati hosted Udinese.
Candreva gathered a cross-field pass, looked up and unleashed a right-foot effort that bent inwards at a seemingly impossible angle to fly into the far top corner, leaving goalkeeper Marco Silvestri without a chance of saving it.
It had given Samp the 3-2 lead, before Fernando Forestieri grabbed a 3-3 draw in Week 7.
