Travel restrictions reduced the number of Milan fans who could attend the Champions League opener at Anfield, but those who did make it went wild when Brahim Diaz put them 2-1 up against Liverpool.

The turnaround was so rapid that it made many think of the legendary Final in Istanbul, when Liverpool clawed back a 3-0 deficit in the space of six minutes.

In this case, Ante Rebic and Brahim Diaz found the net in one minute and 48 seconds, the Spaniard finding the net in front of the Rossoneri faithful.

There were circa 500 Milan supporters at Anfield, the vast majority based in Britain and members of fan clubs.

Unfortunately for them, the final result was 3-2 to Liverpool, but it was certainly an emotional night.
