Watch an extensive video of behind the scenes from Romelu Lukaku’s first day at Roma, from the moment he landed to a cheering crowd at the airport to visiting the Colosseum for the first time.

The centre-forward made the move on loan from Chelsea in the final days of the transfer window, in a deal that is believed to have cost close to €9m.

The Belgium international underwent his medical, signed the contract and chatted with director of sport Tiago Pinto before posing for photographs.

“There are many positive things, these are the sentiments you want to experience as a football player. These emotions are why you play football.”

Lukaku had never been to the Colosseum before, admitting it would’ve felt “impossible to see this when I was six years old. These are now pictures to show to my kids.”
