Italy forward Mario Balotelli scored a sensational Rabona goal as one of the five times he found the back of the net in Adana Demirspor’s 7-0 win over rivals Goztepe.

Already on four goals, Balotelli picked up the ball just inside the the opponents’ penalty area and did seven step-overs before eventually going to his left, past the defender.

The angle seemed a little tight, but Balotelli resolved the issue by producing a Rabona to find the opposite corner.

Vincenzo Montella’s side finished the campaign in ninth place and the win snapped a four-match losing streak.

  1. And I scored 20 goals in 5-a-side yesterday…. This is news when he is scoring in a decent league not against bottom of the table Turkish sides!

  2. It was a mistake to leave him out for the World Cup Qualifier, I don’t care what anyone says about his past. He could have been an impact sub rather than Joao Pedro… Ciro Immobile is the biggest waste of space that has played for Italy in the last 8-9 years yet nobody objected to his call up and everyone objected to Balotelli (who has a better record for Italy than Immobile & Belotti).

I understand Balotelli was not the long term answer of course as we really need to focus on the youth and bringing in new players, but we needed a short term answer at that time and I think at the very least we would have beaten North Macedonia with Balotelli.

  3. I’d like to see him have a final stint at a promoted or mid table serie a club. Where he’s the star man.

  4. Very funny Marco but we have missed out on the world cup again. Surely Balotelli should have been given a chance. How many of our so called forwards would have scored a goal like that no matter who they played against?
I’ll tell you….. none of them.
