Atalanta striker Ademola Lookman was the hero for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, scoring two goals to beat Cameroon, including on an assist from Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
The 26-year-old is already having a fantastic season at club level for La Dea, contributing seven goals and three assists in 18 Serie A appearances.
He took that form to AFCON too, bagging both goals in Nigeria’s Round of 16 victory over Cameroon this evening.
Before that, Lookman had only ever scored twice for his country in 15 senior caps, along with four assists.
