According to reports in France, Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal has rejected a move to Marseille.

The Chile international joined the Nerazzurri as a free agent from Barcelona last summer.

According to French paper La Provence, his former national team coach Jorge Sampaoli offered the midfielder the chance to join him at Marseille, but Vidal has rejected the opportunity.

Vidal has reportedly told Sampaoli he feels well at Inter and is on good terms with coach Antonio Conte. Therefore, he wants to play in Milan for one more season.

Vidal has two goals and two assists in 30 appearances across all competitions with Inter so far this season.

His salary will rise from €5m to €6.5m-a-year next season.

Inter President Steven Zhang has returned to Italy today and will meet the team and Conte.

Suning have decided the club’s transfer strategy for next season and won’t give the all-clear for big-money moves unless Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta manages to sell some players.
