Arturo Vidal is ready to leave Inter in order to start a new adventure in Brazil with Flamengo, and he’s expected in Rio De Janeiro this evening.

The 35-year-old Chilean midfielder is proved somewhat of a stopgap to the Nerazzurri’s summer transfer window, with his hefty €6.5m net per season wages being too heavy to ignore. Many reports have suggested that Inter would be able to close out a deal with Paulo Dybala once Vidal has been moved on.

As reported by Brazilian outlet Lance, Vidal is expected at the Maracanà tonight to watch the Copa Libertadores match between Flamengo and Tolima, which’ll kick off at 1:30am UK time. Following the match, he’ll undergo the usual pre-transfer medicals before signing an 18-month contract.

The Chilean midfielder’s arrival won’t be announced until July 16, however, as he’ll need to return to Italy over the weekend in order to resolve some personal issues, such as terminating his contract with Inter. He’s set to be paid just under €4m in compensation.

  1. Vidal has nothing to do with dybala.

Sanchez and one of dzeko or corea would have to leave for dybala to be signed, which ain’t happening in this universe.
