With Maurizio Sarri taking time to decide his future, it seems as if the patron has taken matters into his own hands and found a replacement.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the first name on the wish-list is Vidal, who already worked with Ancelotti at Bayern Munich.

Today is the Chile international’s 31st birthday and his contract with the Germans runs until June 2019, but Kicker reports that Bayern will let him decide his own future.

Vidal spent four years at Juventus before he was sold to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2015 for €37.5m.

If Marek Hamsik really is considering a move to Chinese club Shandong Luneng, as he hinted today, then Vidal would be a suitable replacement.
