Vidal hails Messi for matching all-time record at Barca

Inter midfielder and former Barcelona teammate Arturo Vidal congratulated Lionel Messi for equalling the all-time club record with 767 appearances.

The Blaugrana talisman started against Huesca at Camp Nou and equalled the all-time club record held by former captain Xavi Hernandez.

Vidal moved from Barcelona to Inter last summer and sent a message to the Argentine talisman on social media.

“Another record, my brother,” Vidal wrote on Twitter. “Leo Messi, you are the master of football, you are the best, the alien, the only one, the magic one.

“Surely, you will continue to beat many more records, you are unique. An extra-terrestrial hug.”
