Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was once again impressed by the support from Tottenham fans in their away 3-3 draw against Manchester City on Sunday: ‘Travelling fans MOTM.’
The Italian shot-stopper conceded three goals at the Etihad Stadium, but Spurs still managed to get away with a 3-3 draw against Pep Guardiola’s side. Vicario reacted with an Instagram post where he praised Tottenham supporters.
“Character. Travelling fans MOTM. We keep working,” wrote the ex-Empoli goalkeeper.
Vicario has often praised Tottenham fans after games this season and there seems to be mutual love between the Italian goalkeeper and supporters in North London.
The 27-year-old has conceded 20 goals in 14 Premier League appearances this season, keeping four clean sheets.
Vicario joined Tottenham from Empoli in a €20m deal last summer, signing a contract until June 2028.
The former Empoli star was called up by Italy coach Luciano Spalletti in September, October and November but has yet to make his senior Azzurri debut.
