Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will start for Italy against Turkey in an international friendly against Turkey on Tuesday.
Italy CT Luciano Spalletti said at a press conference on Monday that Vicario would start against Turkey in a friendly at the Stadio Dall’Ara in Bologna on Tuesday.
The Azzurri coach spoke at a press conference attended by Football Italia, revealing four guaranteed starters against Vincenzo Montella’s side.

In addition to Vicario, Mateo Retegui (Genoa), Giovanni Di Lorenzo (Napoli), and local Bologna hero Riccardo Orsolini will also get the nod against Turkey.
Even if Vicario starts against Turkey, Gigio Donnarumma will be the starter at Euro 2024 as well as the Azzurri captain.
Gigio has captained Italy six times in eight matches under Spalletti.
Lazio‘s Ivan Provedel and Napoli’s Alex Meret have also been included in a 30-man preliminary squad, but one of them is expected to be cut on June 6 when Spalletti will name the final 26-man squad list for Euro 2024.
Vicario made his senior Italy debut in a friendly against Ecuador in March 2024.
