The French side face Manchester City in tonight's Champions League quarter-final, going into the game with an aggregate score of 2-2 from the first leg in Paris.

Verratti is currently recovering from a groin injury and his presence against the Citizens has been in doubt for weeks.

After initial statements that seemed open to the possibility of employing the Italian, Coach Laurent Blanc declared in yesterday's Press conference that it would take a miracle for him to play.

However, Verratti ultimately did not make it in Blanc's list of call-ups and will be watching the match against Manchester City from the stands.

The decision was taken by the club in agreement with the player, who is looking to recover and be in top form in time for this summer's Euro 2016.
