Italy international Marco Verratti has sustained yet another injury and won’t be in the PSG squad against Manchester City this evening.

According to L’Equipe, the former Pescara midfielder had been ready to start the Champions League match at the Etihad.

However, he picked up a thigh issue and is now likely to watch on from the stands.

He’s not the only setback for Paris Saint-Germain, as Georginio Wijnaldum is also reportedly ruled out of the big game.

Verratti has struggled with repeated injury problems all season after helping Italy to win the UEFA EURO 2020 tournament over the summer.

The 29-year-old has made just eight competitive appearances for his club in the 2021-22 campaign.

He was forced to miss the recent World Cup qualifiers due to a hip injury, but it would appear to be his thigh that is the cause of the problems this time.

PSG and Manchester City are going head-to-head for top spot in Champions League Group A.

  1. Every 2 games injured
And that means that when he steps on the pitch he plays cautious
And this is how Spain beat us in the Nations League when that coach lauded over how much he admired Verratti, meaning in code speak how cautious Verratti plays and then tried to humiliate Italy bragging about his 17 yr old understudy (who never even had a girlfriend) running circles around Verratti.
