Marco Verratti is reportedly considering leaving Paris Saint-Germain after more than a decade in the summer and Juventus keeping a close eye on the situation.

Tensions have arisen in the French capital after PSG’s disappointing Champions League Round of 16 elimination. A number of their players have been heavily criticised and one of these is the 30-year-old Italian midfielder, who played every minute of their 3-0 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich.

Verratti has been with PSG since July 2012 and has made 407 appearances for the club, but rumours suggest that he’s starting to consider a change of scenery.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Verratti is upset with the criticism he’s received in recent weeks and is starting to think about the idea of leaving PSG in the summer.

Currently, the Ligue 1 giants have no intention of selling the 30-year-old midfielder and it would take a clear request from the player before they’d change their position.

Juventus are interested in picking up Verratti and are keeping a watchful eye on the situation, ready to take advantage of a possible opening at the end of the season.

  1. Verratti’s gross wages at PSG amount to 20m Euro a season. Unaffordable. He is also very settled in France with a French spouse. He will never leave. I can only see him maybe heading back to Pescara in 2026 once his contract expires.
