Marco Verratti reiterated he wants to remain at Paris Saint-Germain and would pick Carlo Ancelotti as the new Italy Coach.

Marco Verratti reiterated he wants to remain at Paris Saint-Germain and would pick Carlo Ancelotti as the new Italy Coach.

“I am very happy with the decision that I made and I am even more convinced today that it was the right choice. I really want to stay here and win what everyone is waiting for,” the midfielder told Canal+.

“When it comes to PSG, people think everything will come easily to us. Just because we buy Neymar, automatically we must be a shoo-in for the Champions League. Of course, having players like that gives us a better chance of winning, but the work still needs to be done.

“PSG will win the Champions League eventually, whether we are still in the squad or not. It’s a club that is building towards that achievement and is already pretty close.”

Italy are currently without a Coach and Verratti makes no bones about who he would choose for the job.

“I made my Champions League debut thanks to Ancelotti and he helped so much with my mentality. He also helped me off the field and remains a very important figure for me.

“We’ll see if he comes to the Nazionale. I’d certainly like him to.”
