Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has revealed he wants a return to Pescara before he retires and loves playing with Lionel Messi in the French capital. ‘Life has given me the opportunity to play with the greatest player in the world’.

The Italy international has never played in Serie A, as he left Pescara for PSG in July 2012, and stayed with the French giants ever since.

“I’m in love with PSG and that’s why I always try to do my best to repay the trust that has been given to me,” Verratti told France Info.

“I was a kid when I arrived, I came from a small provincial town, and I found everything here. It was all incredible, I became a man, I found love and my children were born here.

“Everything I lived here will leave me indelible memories.”

Verratti: ‘Winning with Italy was the greatest feeling’

Argentine talisman Messi arrived at Paris Saint-Germain this summer and Verratti has shared the dressing room with the superstar in recent months.

“Life has given me the opportunity to play with the greatest player in the world every day,” he continued. “Physically, he is very good and with the ball he’s even better.

“When we are with him, we forget his age. He was so strong when he played against us and now we take advantage of it.”

But the Azzurri hero revealed he wants to finish his career where it all started, at Pescara.

“I still have some time left, what I know is that I will always stay here,” he said. “Before I retire, I will return to Pescara.

“I will do it for my friends and family. And then, of course, because there’s the sea and the mountains.”

    What a shame.

It is still upsetting Juve allowed him to go to France
