Hellas Verona’s young full-back Andrea Gresele is in intensive care after an electric shock, causing a fall from four metres last night.
L’Arena reports the 18-year-old from the Gialloblu’s youth squad was out with some friends when the accident happened.
He was reportedly struck by the high voltage cables of a train and fell from a height of four metres, causing a fracture of a vertebra, a cranial hematoma and burned a hand.

The outlet writes the youngster seems to have taken a chair to climb over the railroad fence, from there he climbed onto the roof of a carriage, where he was hit by an electrical shock that caused the fall.
Gesele is now in intensive care and the club published a message on social media.
“We are with you, yours and who, like us, loves you,” the club wrote in a statement. “Forza Andrea!”
