Serie A returns on Saturday with the Scudetto holders in action and these Verona vs. Napolipredictions suggest a much-need win. Rudi Garcia is very much under pressure following two defeats and now comes up against the Partenopei’s bogey team.
1 – Napoli to win – 7/12
2 – Napoli to keep a clean sheet – 5/4
3 – Victor Osimhen to score – 10/11
4 – Under 2.5 goals scored– 4/6
5 – A draw at full-time – 10/3
Napoli travel north to the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Saturday to face a struggling Verona team. The Gialloblu sit in the bottom five of Serie A and have failed to win any of their last six games.
Things are not looking good for Marco Baroni’s side, who face a trip to Juventus next week and we foresee an easy Napoli win on Saturday. The Partenopei may not have hit the heights of last season but they should have more than enough in their locker to secure a victory at the Bentegodi.
Verona will be particularly concerned with their offensive output, which has seen them score just once in their last five games. While the majority of these games were against teams with solid defences, their determination to remain strong at the back has blunted an already limited front line. Against a fearsome Napoli attack, we predict the hosts to be so distracted by the defensive phase of the game that they fail to score themselves.
Unfortunately for Verona, even with a focus on their own goal, they will struggle to keep Victor Osimhen at bay. Despite controversies surrounding the forward, he has maintained his phenomenal form, already scoring six goals this season and is therefore favourite to score anytime on Saturday.
Where Napoli have struggled this season has been scoring goals from elsewhere on the pitch. Kvicha Kvaraskhelia has looked a shadow of his former self and has scored just once this season, while Giovanni Simeone and Giacomo Raspadori have also bagged just one each.
As a result, a wager on a low-scoring game may well come to fruition. Verona, despite their limitations, have conceded just four goals in their last five games, so there is a real prospect of Saturday’s game providing under 2.5 goals yet again.
Past history between the sides suggests that this fixture may well be closer than expected, with Napoli winning just two of the last six clashes. Surprisingly, the most common result in this period is a draw, and should the hosts manage to keep Osimhen quiet, they could well pick up an all-important point yet again.

Verona (3-4-2-1): Montipo; Magnani, Coppola, Hongla; Terracciano, Faraoni, Folorunsho, Lazovic; Suslov, Saponara; Ngonge
Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Ostigard, Natan, Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia
Pawel Dawidowicz could make his return in defence this weekend but Verona remain without Josh Doig, Isak Hien, Bruno Amione, and Juan Cabal. Marco Baroni may look to start Milan Djuric, with Cyril Ngonge on a goalless run.
Few changes are expected from Rudi Garcia, with Amir Rrahmani and Juan Jesus still missing from the back line. Giacomo Raspadori will be hoping that his exploits with the national team might earn him a start.
