Freshly-relegated Verona are expected to appoint Rafa Benitez’s assistant Fabio Pecchia as their new Coach imminently.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Pecchia has been elected as the man to replace Luigi Del Neri and guide the Gialloblu back into Serie A after their bottom-place finish last season.
The former Napoli, Juventus and Bologna winger, who will be assisted by another former player in Nicola Corrent, had been Benitez’s No 2 at the Partenopei, Real Madrid and most recently Newcastle United.
