Hellas Verona are hoping to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bayern Munich, but the German champions are close to sending the player on loan to Anderlecht.

Zirkzee, who turned 20 in May, spent the last six months on loan with Parma, but returned to Die Roten when the deal expired in June.

Verona are reportedly interested in bringing the starlet back to Serie A ahead of 2021-22, but the path to reach an agreement seems complicated.

Corriere di Verona reports the Gialloblu have made an attempt, but Bayern Munich are currently working to complete a loan deal with Belgian giants Anderlecht.

Zirkzee moved to Italy on February 1 and the Dutch striker played four competitive games with the Ducali before returning to Bayern.
