Serie A new boys Verona are hoping to tie up a triple swoop for defenders Salvatore Bocchetti, Giulio Donati and Koray Gunter.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, Verona are on the verge of signing Bocchetti and have Donati in their sights.
Bocchetti is a free agent after leaving Spartak Moscow, although Sky stresses he must first agree a severance package with the Russian club as his contract with them still has a year left to run.

Bocchetti is a free agent after leaving Spartak Moscow, although Sky stresses he must first agree a severance package with the Russian club as his contract with them still has a year left to run.
The 32-year-old has five caps for Italy and previously played for the likes of Frosinone, Genoa, Rubin Kazan and Milan.
Primarily a centre-back, he can also play on the left or in defensive midfield.
Donati, meanwhile, has spent the last six seasons in the Bundesliga after first joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2013 and then Mainz in 2016.
The ex-Italy Under-21 right-back played just nine times for Mainz in 2018-19, however, and can be snapped up for nothing after his contract expired.
Finally, Sky reports Genoa have agreed to loan Gunter to the Gialloblu for the season.
He only moved to Liguria from Galatasaray last summer but failed to hold down a first-team place, making only 16 appearances.
